I had a wonderful Christmas eve party with my secondary school classmates.
My friend was born on Christmas day; hence that made a double celebration- birthday and Xmas.
Stunning with her get-up, she looked every inch a rock chick and boy, she does turn heads.
The food was great as usual... seems like you only have good food all around whenever it comes to festive periods and it would be a big taboo if you don't serve turkey during Christmas. Speaking of which, the turkey with strawberry jam was the fastest to be wiped clean.
Apparently, my friend had two function rooms booked to accommodate her friends and relatives. The amount of people who turned up was just plain massive in every sense of the word.
Then there was the gift exchange program.
I tried to be generous within the limits of the stipulated amount the gift should be but it was just that I did my gift shopping at the last hour and I didn't really have time to choose hence I got the fake bread thing from action city.
You do know what I'm referring to, don't you?
I wrapped it up with my last-minute looking wrapper. And unfortunately enough, someone from nearby from where I was situated in the room got my present. I was hoping she doesn't have a bit clue that I was the one who bought that particular novelty item because really, if you are not those who are appealed by how real those things look and smell compared to real bread, then that thing is pretty much useless to one.
And things can't get any more obvious/unfortunate when one of my friends spouted out, 'Hey Jeremy, isn't that your present?' Alright, sorry. I know I should have never been a miser and should have gotten something with more value to it- not necessarily monetary rather practically.
Until I saw what others received, I think my gift wasn't half as bad as I imagined it to be.
Aiya! Ha-ha. I guess, it's the joy of bonding in one of these present exchanging session that mattered.
And every meet-up cannot be done without photos, so head to my FB for the images.
A couple of us hung out in one of my friend's house till 2am to chat and reminisce old times with Nasi Lemak and swiss rolls.
