So you must be wondering about my short hiatus. Well, I was busy... working.
Haha.. Well actually, working and finding the petty time spaces in the middle to binge on little slack activites:

There you have it. My extended teabreak with champion slacker of a worker, ROY YUE.
We went from floor to floor, sat in my mum's office like anytime of the day and basically wasted time. Aiya, I sound like a money-grubber.. taking money for work which I haven't sown. Okay, snap that thought. On the contrary, I AM a hardworking ant. And I do not act like a prima donna around the office even though almost everyone in the building knows I'm one of the manager's son.

Very much like how Roy yue sleekly puts it, 'When we do good; when we do work, no one sees, when we make a mistake, everyone starts pointing their fingers at you'

Okay, now I sound like I'm making excuses and that I've already got scolded umpteen times. NO, my record's clean! Haha.. I finished my work pretty quickly and well done for that matter.

Anyway, the highlight of my week so far was to catch some guy snoring like a loud hailer whilst sleeping in the toilet. Yes, his behaviour was as though no one would come into that same toilet. I've had a picture taken of him. However, I shall tame any impulse of posting that picture online cos I don't want to be deemed a 'cheKoPek' in your eyes. Haha.

Oh goodness, I'm a genius. I love the plans I have up my sleeves for the rest of the year.

"You've got me clumsy cos I'm falling in love" Clumsy by Fergie
Yeah that's the track playing over and over my Itunes player and it's sorta getting to me.

Anyway, let's talk about today.
I met Shane and his crazy friends at Yishun for the movie, 'I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry'. Oh man, that show. Haha.. I bet you are scrambling through your browser links now for the website to find out what exactly the movie's about right about now.

I also got myself a bottle of cologne on the way. Well, I needed something more potent than my old bottle from Bodyshop; a smell which will leave a lasting impression. Haha. Talking about that bottle of cologne from Bodyshop, I got it 4 years ago and it's still more than 3/4 full.

I rushed to church from Yishun at 630pm for worship practice.

You do love reading all these small talk, don't you? Haha!

Wednesday, September 19, 2007

I spent my day at WeiJie's house back some two days ago and I think I'm kinda missing it now. Haha.. I do not know why.
Anyway, if you thought Beyonce's 'Irreplaceable' was great, you should check this out:

(I am not embedding the video here due to the mild vulgar content because this is a PG13 blog after all, Haha )

I've got a sparkling A grade for my FYP and a Pass for my industrial attachment.
Glad.
Now that the results are out, I can valiantly declare that I'm officially a graduate of NYP.

Head Down, Straight Ahead.

'Head down' means I'm unbothered by what the others are doing.

It means I'm personally doing the best I can on my pathway.

It means I'm not anxious about what others are thinking.

It means I'm pre-occupied with what I'm doing not what others are doing.

'Straight ahead' means I stick to my course.

I don't keep changing when it doesn't work the way like I thought it would.

I remain undistracted from tempting turn offs in the road.

Head Down, Straight Ahead!

Stick to the plan.

Found this:
After my sec 2 stage play... with some familiar faces
(Click thumbnail to enlarge):

I've added a few of my old favourite chinese songs to the playlist on the right.
I'll add more-if I can remember the titles that is.
Haha.. Yes, yes. I do listen to chinese songs.

I had a cool 1 hour gym session with Weijie this morning. I did nothing much today except staring at the computer while chatting on msn, downloading stuff and all.

Anyway, check out these cool videos:

It's really awesome how a simple cartoon video brings out such a passion to worship God.

Don't ask me how I did the intro picture on the previous page
cuz I don't know myself.
It was a 15-minute off-the-hook spark from the peak of my endless
imagination thing I had going on. And I guess ego took a hold on me in the midst hence
the quirky tagline. And haha.. I thought it was a job well done.

Irreplaceable
Saturday, September 08, 2007

Hello, here's yet another post.
I woke up at 845am this morning and zipped down to church around 15 minutes late for the 10am backup vocals
session in church. Oh well.
Anyway, we did a lot of different stuff for the whole training and it was pretty cool. I didn't manage to stay for the entire session though cos I had to head down to Citylink for lunch with Pastor Lia. We ate at the trendy diner's named 'newyork newyork'. I totally loved that place especially the whole ambience created within. It makes one feel very relaxed.
We had the seats at the 'house-shaped' container area

I really enjoyed talking to Pst. It was just a let-loose-feel-good talk... plus some other issues. Haha.. Oops, now I've got you scratching your heads. No, you will not find the content of our talk even if you continue reading on this blog post.
Anyway, I really enjoyed myself and thought such opportunities were a blessing from God cos Pst really took out quite a bit of time from her busy schedule to eat with me (FYI: She has a sermon to prepare and Sweden to go to next week).

Here's a Kodak moment:

We walked down Citylink and Raffles city for a while after everything and soon after, Pst left.
Now, I was planning to meet my mum but had a change of plans later.
Fast forward- I met Dexter and Wei Jie later in orchard. They were finding a place to have their dinner and so I introduced them to the 'Wanton-mee' stall on the highest floor, Heeren. Yes, quality and quantity were present in every bowl of piping hot noodle. And it went down our stomachs fast and furious. I didn't finish mine though cos I was pretty full from the previous meal. Anyway, we went to Cineleisure later and Charlotte and Calvin caught up with us. Booked a room at $10/hr. One big sofa, two computers in a airconditioned room. I mean, this is heaven on earth. Dexter, WeiJie and Calvin played rounds of counterstrike while Charlotte and I took photos. Talk about girly-fun. HAHA!
Anyway, there were stashes of old 8 days and lime mag issues on the side of the wall for a read.
I think at the rate I'm going, I'll begin loving life all over again. Time's passing.

Erks.
I found white ants in my wooden book case again and this time two more books were destroyed. I figured that the ants must have built a mega nest within the wooden layers so they will still infest no matter how many times I cleaned, hence the shelf went to the trash can. Now, I needed a new one. A new metal rimmed one- white ants refuses metal.

Anyway, I met Dexter and Calvin for a gym session at Republic Polytechnic. I was hesitant at first because of the familiar faces I might encounter. Later I realised that we very much the only people occupying the facility. Haha..
We did a 20 min run on the treadmill first before heading to all the toning giants. Tough!
We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly nonetheless. At least enough to keep me from thinking of the other part of the world.

I got my metal-rimmed bookshelf at IKEA later in the night.

Spending the day at Cafe Cartel and the arcade with the two was a joyride.
Anyway, we had all the crap laughter in that secluded corner of the restaurant; so funny that it did cause a slight disturbance when I asked one of the waiter to take a photo for us; he got his manager to help and we were left dumbfounded as we stared blankly at him.
You all should dig your head into one their ice-cream specials. It's $8.60 for a whole big serving. Before that, we tucked in to our main course - ribs and pasta. Okay, let's talk about their free flow of bread. Haha.. could you believe it? I actually thought their plastic display was the real thing. Anyway, I sliced the long piece into small bits. I was trying to make out what the yellow and red liquid filled bottles were near the bread tray. Later, the manager told me that it was olive oil and red wine; meant dip the bread with. Haha.. weird combination; taking into account the fact that we use traditional margarine and jam at home. And yes, I squirted chilli sauce on the edge of my pants.

Okay, so when we were done with eating we headed to the arcade. Yes, we played DAYTONA.... of all things. BUT, it was way fun. I love the whole speed thing. Haha! We upgraded to maneuvering a lorry next. In the same arcade, we witnessed a guy behind two other people who were playing the para-para machine. He was mimicking their every move. It was indeed a stupid guy and a funny sight. We wanted to video the whole thing down and send it to Stomp. However, the phone camera failed to load fast enough, what a bummer! If you do not know what Stomp is, you should continue living under your rock and try not to let the world see you.

I went to collect my complementary movie card on my way home.
That's about all. I won't say I went totally mad today but it was,
indeed, much better than spending the whole day playing...

We are Zelia, Roy and Jeremy.
