It's been a boring week.
I've skipped 2 days of school just to catch up on some sleep.

Oh man, when can I ever get out of this rat race and hitch a plane to gorgeous NYC?
That might just be the 'promised land' of our time.

It was the same long school day again however, it didn't summed up too bad. Well, the reason for the difference was because I was going to watch MR BEAN with a few of my CG people in the evening.
I just watched in silent anticipation as I counted down the hours. I love Fridays. Even the air smelt different.
Trotting out of school at 5.30pm, I boarded the very train that came my way. I wouldn't say it was all that different a day but I would always make sure I made good my Fridays because it was the only day I could have time to my own. It would have been a wee bit better if it rained; numbing that wee bit pain in my soul could serve as a consolation to my already tired frame.

6.35pm (Plaza Singapura)
- 'Sorry sir, we're left with the first row. That's the best offer.'
Those words coming from opposite the ticket box table rang in weird frequencies through my skull as though time time needed to move slower so that I could pixelate that horrible news in my mind. Oh yes, now I've got it. It just meant: I'm going to waste one of my PRECIOUS Fridays!

7.00pm (The Cathay)
-We rushed down to that hopefully 'forsaken and left alone place' in dhoby Ghaut holding to that tinest hope that there might be 5 divine tickets waiting for us. We do not ask for much, just 5 will do. Sadly, luck turned it's back on us. SOLD OUT SOLD OUT SOLD OUT! ARGH! Then things somehow started to move slower back to normal speed. We made our way to Ben and Jerry's and basically sat our time away. It was quite fun because of that fellowship factor that was present. Brillance struck on of us to the core and the idea of walking down to Bugis Junction from DG was birthed. Well, let's settle the growling stomachs first. We intended to have Chicken rice somewhere near parklane however, Mother Nature started throwing tantrums and drenched our plans AKA it started raining, Ha-ha. Well we'll make good with what we had then and so we went to the quiet little food court situated where we were; with only a handful of stalls to choose from.

Fast forward. We reached bugis at 8.00 pm approximately. I went to Bugis village to get a new set of handphone covers. Well, my old one was full of scratches and it failed the quality check of my eyes... making me quite a perfectionist I would say.
Then, we went to Bugis Junction to take Neoprints.


Ha-Ha.. the dominance of the whole machine.

I'm at episode 5 (and still counting) and let me tell you, it's addictive.

I caught the movie, 'THE MESSENGERS' with Derrick, Desmond, Ivan and Rebekah.
It was pretty alright. Pang Brothers (director for asian horror flicks- eye, eye2, eye 10) took on this hollywood movie.

screams and apparently laughter were heard in the theatre.

In my life, there will always be those 'special' songs that come my way and get me hooked for the next couple of weeks or maybe even longer.
Some of them were, 'Here is gone' by the Goo goo dolls, 'Unwritten' by Natasha Bedingfield, 'The voice within' by Christina Aguilera, 'Nothing in this world' by Paris Hilton.... then came the super nice 'Torn' by Natalie Imbruglia. Whoever could put behind Kelly Clarkson's 'Behind these hazel eyes'? That was a smash. 'Wait a minute' by the pussycat dolls was hot too!

Music Television or better known as MTV as the driving force to today's pop culture.
Launched on August 1, 1981, this culture-infusing juggernaut has been influencing youths all over the world. I'm one of them.
While other regular programs fail to impress, there's always music videos and other interesting stuff helmed by the network known as MTV found on almost every terrestrial televisions and/or computers. I mean, god knows how powerful the media can be. It has already spawned a whole generation of helpless youths to the rude morales of the current musicians. Things like 'smoking makes you cool' and 'you're only accepted if you're as good-looking as that particular star' are some of the vile poison injected into the impressionable youths.
While having daggers holstered to it's belt, MTV takes on a sweet bubblegum front.

This is the amazing 'birdcage' infrastructure found in the computer lab I'm working in.
Notice those black blocks hanging on the metal pieces? They are speakers.
Apparently, this whole architecture gives a stellar surround sound experience to whoever using the computers within which are for testing programs, I suppose.

I've started on my FYP (Final Year Project) semester. Trapped within the four walls of the lab, I'm stuck with boredom for the past two days and reason being, I haven't received any information on my project. Bounded by the many dominant rules of the lab, the worst one has got to be 'No sleeping in class' or lying one's head on the table for that matter. Sleep is Man's best friend and it sure does come way before the dog does. Me being a full fledged man is bound to be tied down by this simplest rule of nature:

Sleep late at night= not enough sleep = sleepy for the whole of the following day

The computer in front of me thus remains as my best friend to accompany me as I mentally voyage through boredom...

UNIVERSITY

It's been a wake-up-when-the-sun-sets-and-sleep-when-the-sun-rises week for me.
My biological clock is out of equilibrium. My hair is long. My friends are all busy with god knows what.
Tell me why shouldn't I be emotional?
No, drop that thought, I ain't emotional. I have self-control... God gave us emotions but God also gave us a will. It all depends on whether you know how to utilise what is already in you.

I was making plans to catch a few movies this week but seems like I've already started watching them off the net before I even have the motivation to get out of this snug spot I'm doing all my chores in.
By the way, the movie, '23' is nice. A thriller that plays with the mind. As it aptly defines humanity, 'your sins will haunt you down one day.' Yeah, shiver.

I had the close chance for redemption from this absolution I'm in but I gave it up in the end. Well, let's say I couldn't give up what I'm having now. Amazing how human can be so fickle.

Well, I'll close my eyes and count to ten hoping to have a brand new life when I open them.
