IT1823 SEMESTRAL PROJECT 1
IT2818 ELECTRONICS AND CIRCUITS
IT2819 MATHEMATICS 2
IT2820 PRODUCTIVITY AND CREATIVITY
IT2824 MEDIA DESIGN AND PRODUCTION
IT1818 Java Programming [60 hours]This module covers the concepts of object-oriented programming such as encapsulation, inheritance and
polymorphism and how they are applied in programming to improve software reusability, extensibility and
maintainability. Java is used as the programming tool to teach and reinforce the students’ understanding of
object-oriented programming by creating Java applications and Java applets.
IT1819 Digital Media & Design [60 hours]The module equips students with a thorough understanding of digital media and the technical skills
necessary to produce, process and manipulate digital media elements for developing interactive multimedia
applications. Knowledge and concept of Human Computer Interaction such as perception, conceptual
models and designing guidelines will be taught for developing effective multimedia applications with userfriendly
interface.
IT1823 Semestral Project 1 [75 hours]DMIT Course Modules Page 5 of 9
This module equips students with skills in multimedia production. Students will be cultivated with skills and
mindset relating to Human Computer Interaction for effective multimedia design. They will undergo the
process of evaluating, planning, and designing and authoring multimedia elements to develop an interactive
multimedia
IT2818 Electronics and Circuits [60 hours]The module covers the basic theory and practical applications of electronics devices in electronics circuits
and products.
IT2819 Mathematics 2 [60 hours]This module equips students with the fundamental methods for developing solutions of a variety of
dynamical systems. Topics covered include techniques of integration, ordinary differential equation, Fourier
series and Fourier transform.
IT2820 Productivity & Creativity [30 hours]The module exposes students to the general aspects of productivity and how they relate it to quality
practices in daily life. Topics such as relationship between productivity and quality, productivity programmes
and use of QCC tools are covered. It also provides students with an understanding of idea generation and
exposes them to various other disciplines. Students learn creativity techniques and transform them into
innovative practice through project assignments.
IT2824 Multimedia Design & Production [45 hours]This module covers the design and development of multimedia applications. It provides an understanding of
the processes involved and the practical guidelines for creating effective multimedia applications. Students
will be equipped with the techniques and tools to integrate text, graphics, audio, video and animation
resources to develop interactive multimedia presentations for CD-ROM and Web delivery.
With all these skills, I see the big bucks flowing in the near future!
