monday's LABOUR DAY!

I made a couple of new friends lately...

A couple of us went to burger King for dinner after BS before going home last friday. This was where i met Soon Tat. We chatted for a while while waiting for charleston and JianMing to finish their meal. haha.

I had lunch at long john silvers with roy, kahwah and elaine before Sunday service... this time I met Soon Tat, wei Jie and zhi hao. I didn't manage to talk to zhi hao much because he left early after service if i'm not wrong.. haha. I talked more to the other two and yes, it didn't take long before we became friends.. .ahahahahaa..
Today-

I met noel at Bishan because he wanted to go for a haircut as Aoska. haha.. Noel didn't like the hair cut.
to noel: it's not that bad.Your the hair style isn't that bad. yup, don't worry cos hair grows in a twinkle of an eye.. it will grow back very soon.

Sean was supposed to meet us at a certain time and was late! fear not, there's always cab! haha.. Took cab with Sean, Noel and his friend, Dexter (I met him at monstercue last sunday).

The purpose of today's outing was to go and watch Noel and his schoolmates (Their names - Daryl, zhi xiang, Dexter, Kristopher- cool name!. haha..) in a jamming session.Apparently they were practising for the CHMA(catholic high music awards) auditions taking place tomorrow (Sean and me will be watching!). And guess the title of one of their songs? RED RAIN! hahahaa.. with fabulous Noel on vocals, zhixiang on bass, Kris on drums, daryl on electric guitar. cool. Fifi came a bit later and left early because of her family dinner... that left the rest of us still bopping to the music in the jamming room. hahah!

The whole jamming session ended around 7pm.. ahh yes, the uncle was chasing us when we held on to the room a bit longer.
Noel left for home in a cab as he was running late for tuition. The rest of us walked to the nearest coffee shop to have ROTI PRATA.
Yes, the whole group conflated well.. I guess there wasn't even a scintilla of silence in the midst of our conversations..

All of us left for home in a 853 bus (good thing about staying in the north..everywhere is so accessible)
oh man, they were talking about trying out the hillsong united number -tell the world, if they were to get thru the auditions. how cool is that!
Chatted with Dexter and Kris on msn in the night.. hahahaa... yes yes, they agreed to be peanuts. haha.. well, dexter said the peanut picture on my msn display was cute. hahahah!

i guess that's about all. I can't wait to go back to catholic high tomorrow... I want to explore the new school surroundings... It is sure nostalgic.. well, it's has been many years now since I've been there. I was a student in Catholic High (primary).

wow... the whole musical done up by the youth was A-W-E-S-O-M-E! It was a blast today... acting, singing, dancing,video and not forgetting, the two MCs from thailand and India! plus- 'KALLI-POK,KALLI-POK' ! [those old memories =)] haha.. yup, it was talent displayed full fledged. Had so much fun being part of the mass dance too.. practised all week... and finally it's hard work paid off! Truckloads of fun. It's really amazing to see how teamwork can really bring about such wonderful stuff. wow... our youth are really progressing... I simply cannot wait for the upcoming ARTS festival in JUNE.

Pastor preached a sermon called 'living above the ordinary'.. it was really impacting. Some people always look forward to the 'tomorrows' that they neglect the 'todays' while others are always unwillinging to let go of the 'yesterdays'... 'todays' are really the days that the most ordinary of things happen... but sometimes bringing forth extraordinary results far beyond what we expect... destiny found. IF ONLY our attitudes towards the 'todays' are right. Value and treasure your 'todays'... do something TODAY because you never know what may come about. It's amazing how God can work through the most ordinary things....that's why i say my God is an awesome God.. AMEN!

had a long day today...Spent the whole morning with 'censored'.... haha..
went out with yeo after that to buy his crumpler bag in the afternoon.. haha.. yes yeo! i like that bag... hint hint* haha!

wow... Pastor How preached a sermon on friendship today. found it quite familiar... ah! yes, i heard it in the teencell with the first 22 people of the youth congregation a few years ago. but nonetheless, i enjoyed it very much... and learnt many things from it.

Went shopping today with my mum and my three brothers. haha... first stop: Far east plaza... wow... combed every single shop but found nothing... haha... stopped over at Burger king to eat before heading to our next destination in town : peninsula plaza. Before that, we passed by 77th street... i caught hold of a shirt which i found quite nice. haha... sia lah... wanted black but they only had brown and beige for my size. Ended up with brown. reached peninsula plaza not long after... yes.. the hunt was on again... we marched thru the whole shopping centre as though the world is gonna end the next minute. finally! found a shoe shop... bought two pairs of DC shoes.. one for my brother and one for me. haha... not bad lah. plastic bags after plastic bags... hmm... thank you mum!
We went to bugis junction next where we ate at our dad's restaurant... reached home around 1215... as they say, tired but happy-very happy. haha..

haha... today was a rather short day... what i really mean is that it seems to pass by so quickly.
downloaded 50 over songs last night using ARES(by the way, its very fast!)... listened to songs the whole afternoon... then popped down to church for BS in the evening... well, I learnt quite a lot from the ANTINOMIANISM series. haha! its great! yup... had leader's meeting after that... then went home.
I'm most probably gonna get new t shirts tomorrow... going to BUGIS. ahh! i need a change of wardrobe... or rather, an increase in the number of clothes in my cupboard.
haha... yup. gonna sleep early tonight. tired. sleepy. haha...

Examinations finally O-V-E-R! hahaa.. out of the late night studying into the holidays. ahh.. don't envy me u peanuts... cos when my semester start, you all will be having your june hols.

I guess that's the different life a poly student have compared to one studying in a junior college. Each of us have our own set of 'problems'. We tend to look more slack but the projects are up our necks! Our studies look as if they're chicken-feet... hey, have u taken a look at my math? well, if polytechnic studies were that easy, i guess many poly grads would have been in the universities by now. yeah.

I'll 'enjoy' my holidays now before the next sem start. Haha.. well, I'll find something to do.. something productive. cooping myself at home listening to music isn't something that fit the bill.

angst. even the best fall down sometimes. pity-parties.

i guess there are times where we have to just let go and let God.

God is the mightest i believe and He'll get me through this.. if only i would just let go and let God.

ahhh...I sat for the discrete mathematics paper just now.
The geometric progression (gp) question was a killer-at least to me.
the question went something like this.. the first term of the gp is a non zero term, r is more than zero, less than one and not inclusive of the both numbers, the sum of the first 8 terms is equal to half the sum to infinity. find the common ratio, r.
wahhh... haha... got a stuck in the mathematical induction question too...prove here and there thing.

I need to study for the next maths paper which is taking place next week! haha.. and before that is a computer theory paper... i've got a whole thick book to memorise.

i guess the muggin's ain't over.
haha... well, i'll keep on going. hehe..

I had C programming semestral examination this morning. Well, I was sufficiently prepared for the paper... either that or the paper wasn't tough at all. I hope its the latter haha.

Sia lah, last day of the Red Rain concert. What can i say? its totally rocking. haha.. read my previous entry for the exact description.

after that, I brought my team to Long John Silvers. Hahahahaha.. so happy to see faces like marcus and de jin.. the guys from regent secondary. I'm sure they will be planted one day.
we had much fun as a team..

and yes, i watched EYE 10-again! gasp* this time watched it with joanne, vanessa, cheryl,Kristi, jevon, and ivan tay (jevon's fren)... yes yes, vanessa, and cheryl were screaming their heads off and laughing their heads off also.... sia lah... the movie was a real comedy cum horror.

the night before, i watched the movie with a larger group at 11pm(the reason for the timing is because the tickets for the earlier screenings were all snapped out)... fifi, joyce, alyvn,darren,winson, sean, andrew tanoto, noel and twohill's gf, shu lin is her name, i think.
wahhh.... some parts of the movie were really shocking... like that basketball turning into a head. but there were parts like the food chant thing. ahahaha..... funny to the max.

okok. just wanna end off by saying that i had a fabulous weekend.
My God is a fun God! hahahhahaa... i love Him.

Went to burger King with the rest of the people after the concert. Hahahahaha.. Made many new friends today. Okay, let me start off with Noel's friends. Aw man, they were a bunch of cool and funny people.I can't seem to remember their names though.. oops. We played this game of writing some mushy stuff on the tissue paper and passing it to people.. hahahahahaa... its was funny. haha.. the second group of new people i met were the PHS group- nicholas tan, eugene Ho (my countryside estate neighbour) and Gabriel Tan and muni (I think). They were a fun bunch.

I was about to go home when rosyln asked me to play pool with the rest. Ok, I thought to myself that I had been studying a lot for the past few days.. so I should rest a while. I agreed to go.
The people who went to play pool were Hoz, jonas, noel, eugene, nicholas, sean ethan,Gabriel and me. We had a lot of fun. hahahahaha... esp playing that crappy 'CHICKEN BACKSIDE' game.
after that, the whole group of people staying around Yio Chu Kang/Ang Mo Kio area were about to take a cab home together when they discovered that there were 5 people... gasp-
So we walked down the street, asking every cab that passed by whether he would accept a crowd of 5... many rejected us until we came to this malay uncle... he agreed. haha... the malay uncle was a nice guy. We talked to him while we were in the cab. haha.. the fare, a stunning $16.95.

haha... reached home at 2am. I forsee another great day tomorrow or rather, later... red rain concert and stuff... then gonna catch a movie after that. haha! its gonna be fun. fun fun fun!~
